Our approach draws on specialised lymphatic training with each treatment tailored to your surgical procedure, healing progress and individual needs.
We take into consideration your treating surgeon’s recommendations and post-operative aftercare instructions, with medical clearance required where appropriate.
Using carefully selected hands-on techniques, we provide a considered approach to areas experiencing post-operative puffiness, heaviness and tissue tightness, while respecting the body’s healing process.
Post Operative Care includes:

Post-operative lymphatic drainage is a complementary therapy and does not replace medical care, surgical follow-up or prescribed aftercare.

Flora & Co’s Advanced Lymphatic Drainage is a specialised complementary therapy, not a medical treatment. Our treatments are intended to support lymphatic wellness and general wellbeing. They are not designed to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions, or to replace the advice and care of a qualified healthcare professional.
All clients must complete a health intake questionnaire and informed consent form before their first appointment so we can assess treatment suitability.
If you have an existing medical condition, are under medical care, or have any concerns about whether treatment is right for you, please consult your doctor or treating specialist before booking.
When we can't treat you
We're unable to give lymphatic drainage if you currently have any of the following:
Acute infection or systemic illness (e.g. fever, flu)
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or blood clots
Untreated or active cancer
Severe heart conditions (e.g. congestive heart failure)
Kidney failure
Pulmonary embolism
Severe skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area
Pregnancy complications without medical clearance
Contraindications
Your safety comes first. Lymphatic drainage isn't suitable for everyone, so please check the conditions below before booking. If you're unsure, contact us or speak with your GP first.’

When you'll need medical clearance
In these cases treatment may still be possible with extra care, but we'll need written clearance from your doctor first:
Surgery within the last 6 weeks
Diabetes with complications (e.g. neuropathy, ulcers)
Advanced varicose veins
An autoimmune disorder that is flaring up
Medications that thin the blood or make you more sensitive to touch
Pregnancy (only certain treatments, with clearance)
Chronic lymphoedema (needs specialised care)
Inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, during a flare-up
